We haven’t posted anything about Pacman Jones recently (a great rule to live by), but today is special.
Unless you live in a cave or only watch FOX News, you probably know Mr. Jones has had some legal problems.
And he’s been suspended by the NFL for the entire season.
And he then turned to professional wrestling (of the Total Non-stop Action Wrestling league variety) — from which he has since been banned by his team.
And now, to complete the sad saga, he is releasing his own rap album.
Kind of reminds us of another athlete. We don’t see this “venture” of Pacman’s panning out anymore than the wrestling.
However, clearly the most interesting thing about the new album is what it will be about:
His National Street League Records, based in Atlanta, announced Wednesday that Jones will team with producer Spoaty in a duo called Posterboyz with their first single Let it Shine being released Aug. 27. The song talks about big money, cars and jewelry.
Oh my God! Big money? Cars? Jewelry? It’s a hip-hop revolution!
Even better, Pacman may get sued by the NFL over the name of his record company:
This latest venture might cause more problems for Jones with the National Football League. Officials are looking into whether or not the record label’s name, National Street League Records, infringes on the league’s trademark, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said.
“Taking the year off” ain’t what it used to be.
